Project Nantin

Nantin - means kids in Kumaouni (regional language spoken in Kumaon region of Uttarakhand)

Project “Nantin” that aims to motivate the children going to primary schools and create a favorable environment for them. We wish to provide add on facilities to the kids attending the Govt. primary schools and “Satat Shiksha Kendra”.

Project Nantin

Nantin is a pilot project, and we will start with 5 schools (in remote areas of Almora district, Uttarakhand) with over 100 students. We will be providing the school and students with following facilities in addition to scholarship, mid-day meal, books and dress provided by the Indian Govt.

  • We will provide the following items at school:
    • Water Filter - To ensure safe drinking water
    • NaDcc(Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate) Tablet - to purify water [#Approval Requested from Education Dept.]
    • Handwash - To encourage hygiene
  • We will provide each student with :
    • ———At Beginning of session——–
    • School Bag
    • Color Box and Coloring Sheets
    • Socks, handkerchief
    • Shoes
    • Stationary
    • ——–Onset of Winters—————–
    • Sweater
    • Warm Cap and socks

We believe that providing extra facilities to the students will motivate and encourage them to attend school regularly and learn better. We will collect attendance trends to validate our theory.

We will also plan and co-ordinate at-least two events [ drawing competition, poem recital etc] to bring out the creativity of these kids to the World.
